Activist of the civil campaign European Belarus Alesya Yasyuk had to spend the night in the Partyzanski district militia department of Minsk.

The oppositionist from Barysau was arrested in Minsk on April 2, on the day of unity of people of Belarus and Russia.

Alesya Yasyuk was pasting posters of the civil campaign European Belarus. The woman came to Minsk from Barysau to express her protest against Belaruss policy towards rapprochement with Russia.

The woman was seized personal things and searched in the Partyzanski district militia department.

As Alesya Yasyuk told the Charter97 press center today, she had to spend the night in a cell, and on April 3, she was taken to the court of the Partyzanski district of Minsk in Syamashka Street.

I was detained for having pated just one sticker, Alesya Yasyuk told the Charter97 press center. I did it in a permitted place on a bulletin board at the house entrance. I was detained by a senior militia lieutenant. He didnt introduce himself and called for a militia squad. I was guarded to the Partyzanski district militia department. After three hours a falsified report was drawn up for the fact I allegedly insulted the district militia officer. I was left in a cell for the night. Now they are guarding me for a trial.

It should be reminded that Alesya Yasyuk was detained several times for spreading leaflets and independent newspapers.
